Our Programs

HHNB’s Crisis to HOPE Fund is designed as a targeted homelessness prevention initiative, providing one-time, immediate financial assistance to individuals and families facing urgent, critical needs that cannot be addressed through other programs. By prioritizing rapid, flexible support, the fund helps stabilize essential areas of daily life—such as housing, employment, medical care, and transportation—reducing the risk of housing loss and deeper crisis. Each award is paired with up to six hours of dedicated case management to ensure recipients receive not only immediate relief but also guidance toward longer-term stability and resource connection. This dual approach strengthens the program’s effectiveness as both an emergency intervention and a prevention strategy. In addition to financial assistance, HHNB provides essential support items to meet immediate needs, including first aid and hygiene kits, as well as birthday backpacks for children. These resources help address critical gaps in care while preserving dignity and supporting overall well-being during times of instability.

Guided by our core value that poverty should not be a barrier to accessing justice within the immigration system, HHNB provides ongoing virtual and in-person pro se asylum support for Spanish speakers across the United States. With only 22% of asylum seekers able to afford legal representation, our approach is centered on expanding equitable access to complex legal processes for individuals who would otherwise be unable to secure legal assistance. While we do not provide legal advice, we assist individuals with technical, translation, and mailing support while compleling their pro se asylum applications, work permit applications, court letters, passport applications, and family preparedness planning, including bilingual notary services. Through this program, HHNB works to close critical gaps- to ensure poverty does not prevent access to justice.

The HOPE Workforce Pathways Program prepares immigrants for employment through hands-on, community-based work experience, cultural orientation, and job readiness training. Rooted in HHNB’s commitment to empowerment and integration, the program connects participants with local organizations that provide volunteer opportunities alongside skill development and workforce training. Participants receive a $500 completion grant upon successful program completion, along with 1:1 resumes through local references and skill-building certifications such as CPR training. They are also eligible for 1:1 resume development support and ongoing job search assistance through a follow-up social group designed to sustain and improve employment outcomes. HHNB also provides individualized support in obtaining valid work permits, forming LLCs, and connecting with socially conscious hiring organizations. By combining practical experience and community engagement, this program creates accessible pathways to employment, economic mobility, and long-term stability for immigrants across Colorado.

The HOPE Host Home program connects compassionate community members who have extra space with individuals or families in need of transitional housing for up to 90 days. Hosts receive a stipend and guests receive dedicated case management and navigation support. * Currently, we are not accepting outside referrals. This program is limited to internal candidates who are facing the detention of a loved one and those at risk of immediate homelessness. Only applicants meeting these criteria will be considered.
